U.S. Stocks Erase Gains as Poll Shows Berlusconi Leads in Italy

Feb. 25 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks erased an early rally as a poll showed Silvio Berlusconi’s coalition led in the election for the Italian Senate, spurring concern the government will move away from austerity plans.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index was little changed at 1,516.70 at 10:51 a.m. in New York after gaining as much as 0.7 percent earlier.
